Free Crochet Pattern Preemie & Newborn Basic Beanie

This allows me to continue to provide great content and free patterns.

Patterns for preemies are near and dear to my heart. I have had 2 nephews who were NICU babies and several friends whose little ones spent time in the NICU. Making hats for these tiny (and sometimes not even quite so tiny) babies can be heartbreaking. So in this post, you will find my free crochet pattern for hats for these little ones. I decided to include newborn in this set to break it down into easier sets and some of the bigger little ones in the NICU need that size as well. These sizes are ones that are very much in need by NICUs.

These hats are very easy to dress up and make fun as my testers did (and seemed to have great fun doing). Sometimes their hat is the only way personality can be expressed by these little ones’ parents.

Small Triangle Stitch Bag – Free Pattern

Last month my contribution to Cre8tion Crochet was the Triangle Stitch Market Bag. One of the readers asked if there was a way to make it smaller as she wanted to make one for her granddaughter to carry. So I quickly put my thinking cap on and set out to adjust the pattern to a smaller size.

Here is what some of my testers had to say about this pattern:

The small Triangle Stitch Bag is a quick and easy pattern with the most adorable finished product! I had a blast making it and plan on making many more!”

-Michele Orr, Michele’s Divine Crochet

“This is an adorably cute little bag that works up quickly and is very versatile. Perfect for carrying/storing those small projects in style! This delightful bag is also just the right size for little hands to carry their treasures along.”

-Betty Lewis

“The small triangle bag is perfect for little on the go projects or at the market for more delicate items like tomatoes. Well written and easy to follow instructions for a quick work up.”

-Pamela Emerson, Pammy’s Bare Beanie

So here is the Small Triangle Stitch Bag! I hope you enjoy this pattern.

Little Flame Skirt Free Pattern

A few months ago, my best friend had a new little baby. I started developing a pattern line based on his name, Aidan, which means “little fire”. He won’t ever wear this particular item in the pattern line but as I worked on the patterns I just knew that I had to create a skirt.

Simply Elegant Arm Corset – Free Crochet Pattern

I wanted to have an easy project for someone who is new to graphs that would be good for warmer weather. So I came up with this arm corset! I love how it looks and the simplicity of it. It is a great pattern for someone who is new to graphing. I have included TWO graphs in this post. One is the leopard heart from the drink sleeve post rotated for the cuff and the other is a butterfly that is a new release perfect for beginning to graph. This can also be worked without a graph and looks great plain in both the single crochet and the Tunisian.

Native American Set – Free Crochet Pattern

This pattern for a Native American Set came about because I had a customer who sent me a picture and I couldn’t find any patterns that were exactly what I wanted.

So I picked up my hook and went to creating.

Leopard Heart Graph & Basic Drink Sleeve – Free Crochet Pattern

About a week ago, I released my can size sleeve HERE. This one is the slightly larger size good for cups. I love these for all seasons. They are great for cold weather when you don’t want to burn your hands with your cup and for hot weather when you don’t want wet hands from sweaty cups. both sizes also work great for sippy cups. Which size you use would depend on the cup.

I created a new graph the other day as well and I love how it looks on this. It is a Leopard Heart graph.

Swirling Leaves – New Patterns Coming Soon

One of my favorite pattern lines is my Swirling Leaves patterns. I have two of them on Cre8tion Crochet as free patterns, the beanie/slouch and the blanket. The beanie was actually my first contribution to Cre8tion Crochet. I have more patterns coming soon from that line, and I am super excited about them. One of the items is going to be available on Cre8tion Crochet next month and the others will probably be sometime in late January, early February as well. I’ve designed my first clothing item. As an example of how absolutely amazing it is, here is an encounter one of my testers had regarding the vest!

Scrubbing Bubbles

A few years ago, I had a need for some washcloths but couldn’t find anything that was exactly what I wanted. I started playing with some ideas and this little cloth is what I came up with. I have made it with more and less rows and more and less starting chains. Sometimes I will add a border. There have also been times that I have added a small loop at one corner to be able to hang it. I hope that you enjoy this pattern and have fun. If you make it, please add a project to Ravelry or Craftsy so I can see what you do!
