Stronger Together Earwarmer Crochet Pattern

It’s time for another Holiday Stashdown pattern! I’m so excited for this one. It is called the Stronger Together Earwarmer and came about as I was working on a pattern for the 2016 Cancer Challenge hosted by Sweet Potato 3. You will be able to get that pattern on the 26th when I release it for the challenge. There are also going to be boot cuffs and a cowl to coordinate with this coming soon and I am considering a set of fingerless gloves if I can get them to come out how I want them to! I hope you enjoy this pattern and get some good use out of this!

Swirling Leaves Child Shrug – Free Pattern

I love wearing tank tops and my daughter always likes to match her mama plus she has several dresses that she sometimes needs just a little bit of something on her shoulders especially in the air conditioning. The Swirling Leaves Child Shrug was designed with this in mind. And because Rebekah likes to match me, she requested that I make one for myself as well. And then she decided that HER baby needed one. So The Swirling Leaves Child Shrug quickly became a Mommy, Dolly and Me set. This pattern is my contribution to Cre8tion Crochet.

Toddler & Child Basic Beanie – Free Crochet Pattern

This post may contain affiliate links.

I remember getting so frustrated because my kids have big heads and I would find patterns that didn’t give a circumference and were labeled “toddler” or “child” and wouldn’t fit my kids because their noggins were too big for the standard. I had the same trouble when they were babies as well. My babies couldn’t ever wear the newborn sizes for hats (you can find the preemie and newborn sizes of this pattern HERE and the infant sizes HERE). My Toddler & Child Basic Beanie pattern works for those kids who don’t always fit the standard because I have listed the head measurements that I based these sizes on! A great resource for sizing hats can be found HERE at Tot Toppers, this is my go-to resource if a customer is unable to measure a child’s head for me.

I was recently a competitor in Round 9 of Battle of the Stitches which used the Trellis Waves stitch. When I started working one of my designs for the round, the idea for this hat came to me and I have to say that I am so in love with how the Trellis Waves Slouch turned out. It came to life exactly how I thought it would and my testers loved the design as well. This is my contribution for Cre8tion Crochet. Be sure to check her out for more great patterns from her and other talented designers. [Read more…]

Infant Basic Beanie Free Crochet Pattern

This post contains affiliate links. I receive a small percentage on purchases made through these links. This allows me to continue bringing you free patterns and other quality content!

New free crochet pattern just for y’all! This is the infant basic beanie (still to come are the toddler through child and adult sizes) in 0-3m, 3-6 m, and 6-12m. For preemie and newborn sizes, go HERE. I love having a good basic beanie pattern because if you have a base, you can go anywhere from there! I would get so frustrated because my kids have heads in the 90th plus percentile and nothing ever seemed to fit them.

New Year and New Things

I know things have been rather silent around here and I apologize for that but I have some BIG plans for this new year and some new things coming to the blog! You will get to see some of my other creative interests popping up here, such as cross stitch, embroidery, quilting, coloring, calligraphy, and anything else that might happen to catch my interest. I hope you decide to stick around for the fun!

Free Crochet Pattern – Twisted Treasures Boot Cuff

Sometimes I find a stitch that I just know I want to create something out of and that is what happened with this, my latest free crochet pattern. I did adapt the stitch a bit to get the exact look I wanted because it wasn’t coming out “just right”. Also, I love wearing boot cuffs so that is why I decided to make them. I will be doing more patterns with this stitch though because I really enjoyed making these with it. The name for these boot cuffs is a mashup of a couple of the suggestions from my testers. So please enjoy the Twisted Treasures Boot Cuffs!

Free Crochet Pattern Preemie & Newborn Basic Beanie

This post contains affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase from one of those links, I receive a small percentage of the sale.

This allows me to continue to provide great content and free patterns.

Patterns for preemies are near and dear to my heart. I have had 2 nephews who were NICU babies and several friends whose little ones spent time in the NICU. Making hats for these tiny (and sometimes not even quite so tiny) babies can be heartbreaking. So in this post, you will find my free crochet pattern for hats for these little ones. I decided to include newborn in this set to break it down into easier sets and some of the bigger little ones in the NICU need that size as well. These sizes are ones that are very much in need by NICUs.

These hats are very easy to dress up and make fun as my testers did (and seemed to have great fun doing). Sometimes their hat is the only way personality can be expressed by these little ones’ parents.

Adaptations to a Stocking Pattern

This post is part of the Christmas in July~Hanukkah in the Heat Blog Hop Special Event.

I shared some of my favorite Christmas patterns last Christmas season and this was one of the ones I shared. A customer wanted stockings and when I was sending her pictures for options, she fell in love with this one but wanted it longer and wanted names at the top. So I made some pattern adaptations and decided to share what I did and my results! I still need to make 2 more for my customer and will be starting on them soon. If you would like to order some, I am offering a discount for orders placed by July 24th.

You can buy the pattern here from Schere Wade, who is the designer. I absolutely enjoyed this pattern. It is well written with a diagram for the layout and works up fairly quickly. It was really easy for me to take this on the go and work on it a little bit at a time. Here is her original design.

BOGO Free Party

Today starts the first part of the celebration for my designiversary! I released my first pattern one year ago today. Some days it seems longer but other days it seems like it was just yesterday!

This was my first pattern that I released: Little Bow. This was a free pattern. If you haven’t checked it out before, you can find it HERE and add it to your queues and favorites!

When I came up with this one, I had needed a bow for a doll dress and couldn’t find anything that was exactly what I wanted, so I sat down with my hook and yarn and this was the result.
But now, on with what y’all probably really want to see. THE SALE!
